Company Profile

Atlantic Site Acquisition (ASA) is located in Queenstown, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Our current location provides easy, quick access to Metro Areas of Baltimore, Washington, Virginia and Delaware as well as the entire Delmarva Peninsula. We will travel anywhere to assists our clients.

In June of 1997, ASA was formed to fill the telecommunication carriers need to find suitable raw land sites for their telecommunications towers. Our focus was to pre-qualify landowners as carrier friendly, and market those sites to carriers in the Washington Baltimore MTA/BTA.

Our ability to provide good baseline information on available tower locations within close proximity to major corridors created positive long lasting relationships with all the existing carriers. We offered over 350 pre-qualified possible sites. Many of those locations have wireless infrastructure today.

The foundation of ASA began in 1999 when owner and President, Barb Pivec, accepted a position with American Tower Corporation (ATC) and ASA was limited to managing a few of those sites. Then in January of 2001 ASA, took on a new direction. Fueled by the experience and knowledge gained through working as a mid-level manager for ATC, the second largest wireless infrastructure developer in the nation, ASA was positioned to offer a variety of services to carriers and tower developers and contractors.

In the subsequent years ASA has been successful providing services in acquisition, carrier coordination for collocation, zoning approvals, and permit facilitation for Dobson Communications and others.

ASA is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Barb Pivec. With experience in over 50 jurisdictions in Maryland, Barb has been recognized in her industry and called on by counties and municipalities for her expertise and ability to create winning outcomes in locating towers by partnering the private and public sectors.
